Who we are
Crafting outdoor spaces since 1994
Paul Construction & Awning is a family-owned, full-service outdoor living contractor based in Skippack, Pennsylvania. Founder Paul J. Salassa is an architect, designer and builder, and for three decades he has been sitting down with homeowners, listening, and drawing their project by hand.
No templates and no pre-packaged designs. Every deck, patio, pergola and awning is planned for the specific home it will sit beside, then built by the same team that designed it.
- Hand-drawn custom designs for every project
- Design, engineering, permitting and construction under one roof
- Premium materials, backed by our Three-Point Promise
What we build
Complete outdoor living, one accountable team
From a single shade system to a fully finished backyard, every project starts with a conversation and a sketch.
Awnings & Screens
Sunesta retractable awnings and retractable screens, motorized or manual, custom-sized to your deck or patio.
Decks & Patios
Composite and hardwood decks, paver and natural stone patios, built for Northeast winters and designed around how you live.
Pergolas & Porches
Pergolas, gazebos and roof structures that add shade, shelter and architecture to your outdoor space.
Remote Spaces
Our signature outdoor rooms. Retractable screen walls and climate options turn a patio into a room you use for more of the year.
Outdoor Kitchens
Grill stations, bars, stone surrounds and fire features, planned as part of the whole outdoor space.
Roofing & Siding
Roof replacement and residential siding from the same local team, built for Pennsylvania’s four seasons.
Remote Spaces
A room you use all year, at the push of a button
Remote-controlled screen walls and doors, heating and cooling, under a roof built for your home. Last Christmas one of our customers hosted the holidays on the patio, with snow falling outside.
